Disney On Ice SA 2026: See Moana, Frozen, Toy Story, Aladdin, and More Live on Ice

98 years after the creation of the iconic Disney character Mickey Mouse, the much-loved rodent and his friends return to South Africa for this year’s edition of Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party. The whole family will once again be treated to the thrilling adventures of world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics, and unexpected stunts. Audiences will be treated to an immersive search for the enchanted fairy, Tinker Bell. The crowd will also follow the beloved grandmother, Mamá Coco, as her family journeys through an unintended encounter with the spirit realm.

The adventure then turns into a sea voyage as the heroic Moana takes on the monsters hidden deep beneath the ocean waves. A glistening transformation will mesmerise young and old alike as they witness Belle’s interaction with an enchanted chandelier that suddenly comes to life. Disney On Ice has been staged in South Africa multiple times, but this is a special edition as the production debuts Stitch for the very first time on our shores. No matter what your favourite Disney story is, you will certainly love this one, because the beloved characters from Aladdin, Toy Story, Frozen, and The Little Mermaid will also be present.

In true Disney style, the story is told through spectacular special effects, cutting-edge technology, breathtaking performances, and dazzling costumes. Tony Feldman of Showtime Management said, “We’ve been looking forward to opening this show since we confirmed these runs last year, and we know fans can’t wait to join Mickey Mouse and his friends on their search for Tinker Bell.” The producers have partnered with First National Bank (FNB) — a collaboration they say made all the magic and incredible special effects in the show possible.

The partners promised world-class family entertainment for South African audiences during the winter school holidays, saying they wanted to make memorable experiences more accessible. The show opens on 27 June at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, running until 5 July.
